7 Affordable Green Homes

The subject line says it all. Here's the link.

Tom and Natalie check out a log cabin in Hallsville

Tom and Natalie continue the house-hunting adventures:

We haven't even put ours on the market yet, but that doesn't seem to keep me from looking at houses every night. I posted a link of the one we're going to look at this weekend. Looks like the folks building it ran out of money, it is a foreclosure.

Natalie's update on the dome house

Here's Natalie's take on the dome she and Tom went to see:
We went and saw the dome. I loved it! Loved everything about it (except the 1970's fixtures) Unfortunately there is no usable land. There are 4 acres, but they are in the front of the house, and really nothing but a huge ravine and a driveway that has to be impassable 1/2 the time. So the search continues....
Perhaps I can cajole Natalie and Tom into becoming authors on this little blog....

Natalie checks out a dome today...

Slow posting lately. A new semester has started up for yours truly (Kris) and it's gotten in the way of more important things like daydreaming.

Anyoldway, Natalie and Tom are off to look at a dome home near Henderson, Texas today. Perhaps she'll provide an update afterwards....

New Link Categories

Howdy,

I've added three new link categories: Rainwater catchment, Appliances, and Toilets.

Comments are welcome.

Let the splitting begin!

OK, I've made some progress in splitting the links into "General Off-Grid Links," "Building/Construction Links," and "Off-Grid Blogs."

There are several additional categories that it may make sense to create: energy production, appliances, and food sources immediately come to mind. What do you think?

Lumping v. Splitting

OK, I took a look at the original set of links I'd created and they're a blend of several different categories--off grid living, energy sources, construction methods, and so on. I think it'll be better to split these into different sets of links. I've started to do so. Tell me what you think....
